1994.  World AIDS Day Remembrance and Luncheon at Interventions: The educational event hosted approximately 200 predominantly African- American substance abusers from across their treatment spectrum. These activities also included fundraising, soliciting donations, publicity, and public relations skills.


1990-1995: Organized and Presented numerous trainings on the topics of HIV and AIDS, on death and dying (thanatology), cultural sensitivity, and relaxation theory at Interventions and at Stop AIDS Chicago.   These events were organized both for clients and for counselors.  


1987    Organized the Annual Meeting of Midwest Protozoological Society Argonne National Laboratory. Argonne, Illinois.   This conference hosted scientists and students from a five-state area surrounding Illinois. I was responsible for the conference logistics, including scheduling, mailings, registration, housing, food, and entertainment for the participants.
